Adipex-P
Adipex (phentermine) is an anti-obesity agent used to help people diagnosed with this condition to lose weight. Some of the side effects Adipex causes can affect your concentration and ability to react quickly. If you need to take part in any activities that require quick thinking and reaction do not take Adipex unless you know for sure it does not impair your reactions in any way. Drinking alcohol can increase some of the Adipex side effects. If you are currently taking or have taken within the past 2 weeks a MAO inhibitor, such as isocarboxazid, selegiline, rasagiline or phenelzine do not take Adipex as life-threatening health effects are possible. Allow at least 2 weeks to pass between the two doses, but make sure you still consult your doctor first. If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However, if you have to take another dose soon (within the next couple of hours) you can skip the missed dose and carry on with the regular schedule.
Any health conditions you have and that may affect your treatment should be reported to your doctor, including high blood pressure, a history of drug abuse, glaucoma, diabetes, anxiety disorder, heart disease, overactive thyroid, or a history of drug or alcohol abuse. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to conceive a child, consult your doctor first (if you are taking Adipex). If you think you have to take this medicine, discuss all the risks and benefits with your health care provider. Unless otherwise prescribed take this drug with a glass of water several hours before you plan to go to bed (usually about 10-12 hours). Another way you can take it is before breakfast before eating anything. This drug is not supposed to be given to people 16 years old and younger unless otherwise recommended by the doctor.
